  • Here's what's coming this week for Teens and Kids' at the Library 

    logoMonday, July 6 @ 9 am: Signups start for the American Girl Event (to be held on Friday, July 17). Call 926-4729 or come by the Children's Room. Signups are required for this event.

    Tuesday, July 7 @ 10 am: Storytime with Miss Wendy in the Children's Room. Summer storytimes are "all ages" and drop-in.

    Tues., July 7 @ 6:30 pm: Superhero Pajama Storytime AND Stuffed Animal Sleepover—  Join Miss Paulina for a super fun evening storytime. Wear your best jammies and bring your (second) favorite stuffed animal. After the storytime your stuffed animals are welcome to stay for a library sleepover. When you come back the next day to pick them up we’ll have pictures to show you all of the fun they had while you were at home asleep! (Lane Room)

    Kids' Summer ReadingChildren's Room Programs

    Signups for the Summer Reading Programs continue online or in the Children's Room. After you've signed up make sure to come by and pick up your free book. This year each age group (Family Readers and Independent Readers) will have Bingo Cards and Time Logs available. There are different prizes/categories available for the age ranges and the types of reading. Guidelines are available here.

Only when he reaches into his own complicated childhood does Walt discover the truth about the ghosts that haunt Travers, and together, they set “Mary Poppins” free.

  • Alice in WonderlandJoin us on Wednesday, July 24 for the fourth of our Book-to-Movie screening/discussions.  We'll be watching Alice in Wonderland (rated PG), starring Mia Wasikowska, and then comparing and contrasting it to Lewis Carroll's original book.  Haven't read it yet?  We won't tell!  If you do want to read it, though, you may check out a copy at the front desk.  It's a fun book, and the movie is an interesting and fun adapatation.  Come on in!
