"Career Night" at the Lane Library

GREETING AND READING — Youth Librarian Cheryl French and members of the Lane Memorial Library’s Teen Advisory Board recently hosted a Career Night, in celebration of Children’s Book Week. A panel of five professionals representing various careers were on hand to talk to students about how they use reading while working, and to answer participants’ questions. Guest panelist Karen Kersting (left), the executive director of UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center, gets acquainted with Brianna Brand, a seventh grader at Hampton Academy.
