Cut the Carbon!

The Lane Memorial Library is pleased to offer a new service that will help educate consumers on electricity use. We are circulating a CUT the CARBON! kit, which includes a Kill a Watt Meter, instructions on its use, and a simple worksheet that allows you to calculate the energy costs associated with each device in your home. Energy efficiency advice and tips are also included. The kits were provided by NHSaves, a collaborative effort of the state’s four largest electric utilities.

Check out the kit for a three-week period, plug in your appliances one at a time to see how much energy they use, and help reduce your carbon footprint.
