National Recording Registry

What do Etta James, The Who, Dylan Thomas, and the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker have in common? They all just been included in the 2008 National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress. The Registry selects 25 recordings each year that are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant," and are at least 10 years old.

Go to http://www.loc.gov/rr/record/nrpb/nrpb-2008reg.html for a full list of the 2008 selections. Audio clips accompany many of the selections.
