Coin Collecting as Hobby and Investment

Join us Thursday, November 8th at 6:00 PM as the Lane Memorial Library hosts speaker Raymond Murphy for an authoritative look into the world of coin collecting. An avid collector for 42 years and a 25 year member of the American Numismatic Association, Murphy will be discussing the history of US coins, why hobbyists are drawn to the study of numismatics, and what to look for when considering coins as an investment strategy.

Murphy served for 30 years with the US Postal service, and holds three undergraduate degrees from Northeastern University as well as an MBA from Babson College.

As a bonus for all who attend this lecture, Ray will evaluate and appraise one coin each at the end of the evening. Admission is free, and we encourage anyone curious about the history and value of our US currency to attend.
