Hampton Recycling Education Committee

Established June 2008

Background:
In January 2008 the Solid Waste and Recycling Committee made up of town officials and community members was established by the Board of Selectmen. A sub-committee on recycling education made a list of short and long term goals which was presented in June to the Board of Selectmen. At that meeting the original committee was replaced by the ongoing Recycling Education Committee (REC).

Mission:
The mission of the Recycling Education Committee (REC) is to develop and implement educational programs and activities that will increase public knowledge and understanding of the recycling efforts in the Town of Hampton, with the objective of reaching Hampton's recycling goals. The Committee will make recommendations to and co-operate with town officials, boards, commissions, as well as the public.
