Joseph Dow's History of Hampton

In 1893, Joseph Dow's History of Hampton, N.H. was posthumously published by his daughter Lucy Dow. It was originally published in two volumes, the first dealing with the town's history from 1638 to the Autumn of 1892 and the second being genealogies of Hampton families. Despite having gone though three or more reprintings since that time the books are now only available through out-of-print book dealers, and usually at a very high price. To make these books more accessible to all the library has made them available here on our website.
