HAMPTON — Dr. Barton E. McGirl announces the opening of his dental anesthesiology practice at 30 High St. in Hampton.

McGirl provides comprehensive dental care for patients while they sleep. Available services include dental surgery, implants, cosmetic dentistry, periodontal (gum) therapy endodontic (root canal) therapy, crowns, bridges and dentures.

Many patients who benefit from these services include dental phobics (those with a fear of dentistry) who, according to several studies, account for up to 25 percent of the population. Other individuals who benefit from this care are special-needs patients, children, elderly, medically compromised patients or individuals who require complex or extensive dental care.

There are a great number of patients who desire anesthesia for a specific procedure, such as removal of impacted wisdom teeth, dental implants, root canal treatment, gum surgery and others, who then return to their family dentist.

New patients are welcome to call 758-6000 to schedule a consultation and see how comfortable and stress-free dental care can be.
