COURTLAND, N.Y. - John Pierce "Jack" Little, 89, formerly of Hampton, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 26, 1915, in Dover, the son of William O.B. and Mary G. Little, and was a longtime resident of Hampton moving to New York in 2003.
Mr. Little was president and owner of Samuel Eastman Co. Inc., of Concord, a manufacturer of nonferrous metal castings and machined parts.
He was a director of the American Association of Industrial Management; president of the Winnacunnet Scholarship Foundation; and treasurer of Trinity Episcopal Church in Hampton.
He served on the Hampton Zoning Board of Adjustment; the Lane Memorial Library Building Committee; and as a director of Bank Meridian in Hampton.
He was a member of the Norfolk Lodge AF & AM, in Needham, Mass.
He was an avid photographer, fisherman and fly-tier. Many of his scenes of New England and Great Britain have been shown in local art shows, and numerous fish have been caught and released thanks to his skills.
The widower of Dorothy M. Little, he is survived by two sons, Dr. Craig B. Little of Cortland, N.Y., and Dr. Brian W. Little of Wilmington, Del.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held in Courtland and Hampton. Private family burial will be in Exeter.
