Obituary

Laura M. Blizzard

August 25, 1919 - July 1, 2008

Hampton Union, Tuesday, July 1, 2008

EXETER — Laura M. Blizzard, 88, died Monday, July 1, 2008, at the Prescott House in North Andover, Mass.

She was a graduate of Lowell Teachers College and Boston University.

Miss Blizzard taught in Dracut and Lowell, Mass. Following her retirement, she served as a library assistant in Dracut and Hampton.

She was active in community affairs. She was elected to two terms as a Dracut library trustee, was a member of the Dracut Historical Society, and chairwoman of the Bicentennial Commission.

In Hampton, she served as secretary of the Friends of the Lane Library and as a guide at Tuck Museum.

She is survived by three nieces and one nephew.

At her request, there will be no services.

Private burial will be in Pinegrove Cemetery, Kingston.

Memorial donations may be made to your local library.
