In observance of every Memorial Day, the following Veterans of Foreign Wars gave the supreme sacrifice in defense of their country, in WORLD WAR II, KOREA and VIETNAM and streets, bridges, parks & playgrounds in Hampton, were named in their honor.

Steven Jay Philbrick was born on October 4, 1949 and joined the Armed Forces while in Hampton, NH. He served as a 0331 in the Marines. In 1 year of service, he attained the rank of Pvt/E1. He began a tour of duty on February 14, 1969. On June 6, 1969, at the age of 19, Steven Jay Philbrick perished in the service of our country in South Vietnam, Quang Tri.
